At this practical and interactive workshop, participants will learn skills and techniques of weaving with various types of foliages, to make distinctive contemporary floral designs.
Weaving grasses is a creative way to add visual interest and structure to a floral arrangement. Various designs and manipulations with leaves such as aspidistra, pandanus, and areca leaves will be taught. All participants will be guided to select their floral combinations and create their foam-based arrangements with fresh flowers, using their leaf manipulation techniques to add to their floral creations, which they will then take home.

Welcome and Introduction Introduction to tools, materials, leaves we go to practice with. Demonstration of how to fold and manipulate an aspidistra leaf ( 3 Methods of manipulation will be shown) Participants will practice the various methods of manipulating an aspidistra leaf. Demonstration of how to manipulate a Pandana leaf ( 2 methods will be shown) Participants will practice the various methods of manipulating a Pandana leaf Demonstration on how to Manipulate areca palm leaf (2 methods) Participants will practice the various methods of manipulating an Areca palm leaf Demonstration on how to manipulate snake grass. (2 methods) Participants will practice the various methods of manipulating the snake grass. Demonstration of how to use your manipulated leaves in an arrangement.
