In this workshop, we indulge in nostalgia, as this is one of the first mediums we played with as children. The tactile approach with the use of mainly fingers to paint is soothing and therapeutic. The purpose of this workshop is to create an artwork with inspiration from a reference while encouraging the participant to use their creativity to manipulate the plasticine through the different techniques they are taught during the workshop.
Our theme will be "Flora", and the participants will take home a finished piece that they can frame, or even work on it further if they choose to.
Workshop Outline:
- Introduction to Plasticine, color mixing & tools that can be used.
- How to pick a reference photo as inspiration and how to use it to create your artwork.
- Techniques using your hands & provided tools that can be applied to enhance your painting.
- Constant guidance and support will be provided throughout the workshop.
